Planning a Skaneateles-Area Wedding
Quick answer (updated 2026-10-27): Practical planning for a Skaneateles-area wedding: drive times from Springside Inn, peak vs. non-peak pricing, budgeting with published per-person prices, and where guests can stay.
Drive times from Springside Inn
These are approximate driving times from 6141 West Lake Road, Auburn. They are OSRM routing estimates without traffic, calculated October 2026.
| To | Approx. drive | Distance |
|---|---|---|
| The Sherwood Inn, Skaneateles village | 18 min | 9.1 mi |
| Mirbeau Inn & Spa, Skaneateles | 17 min | 8.6 mi |
| Downtown Auburn (Seward House Museum) | 6 min | 3.2 mi |
| Hilton Garden Inn Auburn (74 State St) | 7 min | 3.6 mi |
| Holiday Inn Auburn (75 North St) | 7 min | 3.5 mi |
| Syracuse Hancock International Airport | 52 min | 35.8 mi |
Peak vs. non-peak
Springside Inn's peak season runs May through October. Saturday room fees drop from $3,500 to $2,000 in the non-peak months (November–April), and Friday/Sunday fees drop from $3,000 to $1,500. The building is fully indoor-capable, with a 20-foot-ceiling ballroom and fireplaces in the Terrace Room and Oak & Vine. That makes a late-fall or winter wedding a real option, not a compromise.
Budgeting with published numbers
Springside publishes enough to build a first-pass budget:
- Room fee: $1,500–$3,500 depending on day and season. The Sunday before Memorial Day, the Sunday before Labor Day, July 4th and New Year's Eve are $3,500.
- Food: plated $90 per person; family style $85/$90; buffet $90/$95.
- Ceremony on site: $1,000.
- Service charge: 23% on all private events.
Many line items other venues charge separately are included: Chiavari chairs, linens, china, a coffee station, cake cutting and parking. Ask any venue you compare for the same breakdown.
